Hi, my name is Jennifer Downer, owner of Boney Mountain Pet Sitting. I am blessed to live in Newbury Park, California, near the hiking trails of Boney Peak. This mountain range is a reminder to me, of the vastness of God’s beautiful creation. Since 2006, I had operated my business as White Wave Pet Sitting Service. For nearly my entire life, I lived near the ocean. In 2017, I changed my company name to reflect my current location and my appreciation of this local community. I serve the entire Conejo Valley, as well as Camarillo.

As a professional pet sitter and dog walker, I love the opportunity to exercise and spend time outdoors, rather than spending most of my day behind a desk. Animals can’t help but put a smile on my face, with a wagging tail or gentle purr of a cat on my lap!

I have over 15 years experience with caring for animals. This includes my employment at Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital, as a veterinary assistant. With this type of background, you can trust in my ability to handle a medical emergency, if this situation would occur with your pet. I am capable of administering all types of medication, such as injections of insulin.

My passion is for taking care of pets. While the majority of my clients are cats and dogs, I have cared for fish, chickens, rabbits and more. I understand that these creatures aren’t just companions. They are beloved members of your family. I view them as your furry children (or sometimes finned or feathered), and dedicate myself to giving them the best possible care.

Daily check-in

Loving care for your beloved pets, while you are traveling. Pets receive personal attention, in the comfort of your home. You pay for the length of time, not the number of pets, making this an affordable alternative to kennels. If you are homesick for your furry friends, we can send text updates with photos and videos.

Overnight pet Sitting

Fo pets needing extra attention, we offer pet care overnight in your home. You will have greater peace of mind, and security for your home. This is a visit of approximately 10 hours, from early evening through the early morning. It's a wonderful way for the pets to bond with us, as we shower them with love and attention. We can send as many text updates, as you'd like. Your pets will enjoy posing for photos and videos, since they know you will be missing them!

Daily Dog walks

No time to walk your dog? Let our professional dog walkers give your pet exercise for physical enjoyment and mental stimulation. Depending on your dog's health, the walk will be brisk and energizing, or at a slow pace for senior animals. Any type of walk will give them the companionship of a dog walker, who is loving and attentive to your pet's needs. Note: For your dog's safety, we prefer not walk them in weather exceeding 95 degrees. As alternative, we can let them out potty in your yard, and spend time in the house playing and cuddling.

Pet transportation

This is a pet taxi service, with pickup and delivery to your home. We can drive your pets to veterinary or grooming appointments, or any other location of your choice. You will save time during busy travel days, by letting us take your pet to a boarding facility. Your pets will be returned to your home, to greet you when you arrive! If your pets are comfortable left alone, we can also do pickup and drop off, when you aren't home.

During your busy day, it can hard to find time to stop at the pet store to buy supplies. Boney Mountain Pet Sitting offers a shopping service, as a convenience to our clients. Pet food, litter, or any other pet supply can be purchased and delivered to your home. This service is available 7 days a week, and in most situations, can be booked on short notice. We would not want your beloved pet to be hungry for dinner! When traveling, this can be extremely helpful, as you can cross it off your to-do list. When combined with our other services, your supplies can be delivered at a very low rate.

15 Minute House Call* $15.00

*Rate applies for dogs, cats, and exotic pets, Small surcharge may be applied for administration of medication, fluids or insulin injections.

OVERNIGHT PET SITTING PER NIGHT $70.00

Pet care from approximately 7:00 PM to 7:00. Hours may be adjusted as needed. One brief visit for a potty break is included at no charge. Additional visits or extended visits can be added for an addition charge. Includes any of the following services: 30 minute walk (or brief potty break), food and water, litter box cleaning, playtime, mail pickup, watering of plants.

30-MINUTE DAILY CHECK-IN $20.00

Includes any of the following services for a total of 30 minutes: walk/potty break in your yard, food and water, litter box cleaning, playtime, mail pickup, watering of plants.

30-MINUTE WALK $25.00

Dog walk in your neighborhood, with a secure harness or light choke chain. We will not interact with other dogs, unless your dog is well socialized. This will minimize risk of aggression. We may be able to walk multiple dogs at the same rate, depending on their personality and behavior traits.

PET TRANSPORTATION CALL FOR RATES

Transportation of any type of pet, within the Conejo Valley. Unlimted number of pets will be driven to the same location, at no additional charge. Animals are secured with a seat belt harness, or carried in a crate.

Supplies are purchased in the local area and delivered to your home. We buy products at stores offering sales or discounts, when possible. Store receipts are provided with an invoice, to verify cost of supplies.
